Great Bromley is a village and civil parish in the Tendring district of Essex. It lies convert|6|km|mi|0|lk=on south of Manningtree and convert|9|km|mi|0 east of Colchester and includes the hamlets of Balls Green and Hare Green. The A120 trunk road (with the A133 as a spur off it) cuts right through the middle of the parish. The region is where the earliest ancestors of the Stone family, including those both in America and England, were from.

The church is dedicated to Saint George.
