The football team posted a record of 0-20 between the years of 2005-2006. Yet this 0-20 streak was snapped on August 31st 2007, when the Titans defeated Bloomingdale High School in a stunning 50-7 victory. In the 2006-2007 school year, the Titans are 4-2, having beat Leto High School 20-0, Sickles High School 47-0 and Freedom High School 19-0. In a surprising turn of events, the Titans lost to Spoto High School 21-18 on September 28th. On October 5th, the Titans played Armwood High School where they lost 26-0. The Titans won their first homecoming game in 4 years against Lennard high school sporting a 35-10 victory. The Titans finished with a record of 6-5.
On March 17th, 2008, the 2007-2008 Fellowsip of Christian Athletes Club at Tampa Bay Tech launched www.TitanStomp.com. TBT's first and official athletic website.
Academy of Health
The Health program is broken up into several fields during students' senior or junior years, depending on the specialty, such as Radiology, Physical Therapy/Occupational Therapy, Veterinary Assistant, Medical Laboratory, Pharmacy, Vision Specialist, Dental Care, CNA, and LPN (nursing). The LPN program requires a great deal more study than any other program, and for this reason chooses its members much sooner than any other program. Students choose which field they desire to move into and apply to these programs. The specialty has the option of refusing any student, however most students are placed in the field they desire.
Academy of Architecture
The Academy of Architecture has classes in two separate rooms, each a fully-functioning lab. The students learn fundamental skills about the architecture field and practice
computer-aided design as well as manual drafting. Students enter several contests throughout the year e.g. a local drafting and design competition at the Strawberry Festival, national drafting and design competitions withSkillsUSA , and theWest Point Bridge Design Contest . Drafting 1 & 2 are currently taught by Ronald Brill. Drafting 3-6 are under the instruction of David Carrier.chool of Business
