The Randolph football team set New Jersey state records in the late 1980s and early 1990s by winning 54 consecutive regular-season and playoff games and by going 59 games without a loss. The winning streak began after a 14-13 loss to Seton Hall Prep on October 25, 1986 and ended with a 6-6 tie against Roxbury on November 1, 1991. Both records were eclipsed by Paulsboro High School, which won its 55th consecutive game and 60th consecutive games during the 1997 season.
