Jump Mobile is a U.S. mobile network operator. It uses the CDMA Evolution-Data Optimized network of its parent company, Leap Wireless, and since 2005 has offered pre-paid wireless services to a market that has grown as of 2007 to parts of 25 states.

Features

Jump Mobile features customers unlimited incoming calls from anywhere in the world, outgoing calls within the coverage area at 10 cents per minute, and unlimited incoming and outgoing text messages within the United States. Customers can send international text messages for 10-15 cents per message and can call internationally at rates that range from 5 cents/minute for Mexico to 60 cents/minute to countries such as Iceland, United Kingdom, and Vietnam. [ [http://www.jumpmobile.com/rates_and_availability/rates/international_long_distance_rates/ JumpMobile.com International Long Distance Rates ] ] Its international rates, with the exception of Mexico, are also subject to a 10 cents/minute airtime charge.

The pre-paid service includes voicemail, caller ID, call waiting, three-way calling, directory assistance, ringtones, games, and wallpapers.

The terms and conditions for Jump Mobile [http://www.jumpmobile.com/terms_of_use/ JumpMobile.com - Terms of Use ] ] requirecustomers to maintain minutes on their accounts. If all funds and minutes have expired, after a sixty day grace period Jump Mobile service lapses and customers lose their telephone numbers. Jump Mobile offers both "service credit" and "Airtime To Go"; the former expires within a fixed period that begins when the credit is applied and that varies based on the amount, ranging from $15 credits that expire in 15 days to $50 credits that expire in 100 days. "Airtime to Go" has the same range of expiration periods (from 15 to 100 days) but the countdown to expiration doesn't begin until the airtime is activated.
