Established in 1908, the Stockton Terminal and Eastern Railroad (STE) provides service to several companies around the Stockton, California area. Being located in Stockton places the STE in an ideal situation for the consolidation and distribution of freight. This includes PDM Steel, Unilever, and Phoenix Cement to name a few. The railroad operates 25 miles of track connecting with the BNSF Railroad, the Union Pacific Railroad, and the Central California Traction Company.

The Stockton Terminal and Eastern locomotive No. 1 can be seen at the Travel Town Museum in Los Angeles, California's Griffith Park
