Manny Azenberg

Emanuel ("Manny") Azenberg is a legendary producer of American theater, producing some of the most memorable, and successful, shows on Broadway in the last 20 years. He is also the husband of Lani Azenberg and father of five children; Karen, Lisa, Rebecca, Jessica, and Joshua.

Mr. Azenberg has currently presented more than 65 productions on Broadway including Tom Stoppard's "The Real Thing" and "Long Day's Journey Into Night". Azenberg is perhaps most notable for his relationship with playwright, Neil Simon; since 1972, Azenberg has produced all of Simon's plays on Broadway, including "Brighton Beach Memoirs", "Biloxi Blues", "Broadway Bound", and "Lost in Yonkers", which won the Pulitzer Prize for Drama in 1991.

His stage productions have earned a total of 134 Tony Award nominations and have won 42 Tony Awards.

Mr. Azenberg has taught at Duke University for the past twenty years after establishing a connection with the university when his daughter attended.

Most recently, Mr. Azenberg was General Manager for the Broadway smash "Rent", and produced a revival of the successful "The Odd Couple", starring Nathan Lane and Matthew Broderick.
