Pudendal plexus (nerves)

Pudendal plexus (nerves)

The pudendal plexus is a term used for a compound structure consisting of sacral spinal nerves.

Some sources describe it as S2-S4 of the lumbosacral plexus.cite book |author=Yokochi, Chihiro; Rohen, Johannes W. |title=Color Atlas of Anatomy: A Photographic Study of the Human Body |publisher=Lippincott Williams & Wilkins |location=Hagerstown, MD |year= |pages=471 |isbn=0-7817-9013-1 |oclc= |doi=]

In some older texts, it is a rough approximation of the coccygeal plexus.cite web |url=http://education.yahoo.com/reference/gray/subjects/subject/213#p966 |title=The Sacral and Coccygeal Nerves - Gray's Anatomy of the Human Body - Yahoo! Education |accessdate=2007-11-24 |format= |work=]
