The Inferior rectal nerves (inferior anal nerves, inferior hemorrhoidal nerve) usually branch from thepudendal nerve but occasionally arises directly from thesacral plexus ; they cross theischiorectal fossa along with theinferior hemorrhoidal vessels, toward theanal canal and the lower end of therectum , and is distributed to theSphincter ani externus and to the integument around the anus.Branches of this nerve communicate with the
perineal branch of theposterior femoral cutaneous and with theposterior scrotal nerves at the forepart of theperineum .ee also
