Matthew Polashek is a contemporary
saxophonist living in theNew York City area. His work focuses on the development of his own real-time computer-based interactivemultimedia performance system.Polashek performs with his own group, the
Matthew Polashek Exchange , and has performed and recorded with internationally renowned artists includingDavid Liebman and Brian Lynch. A gifted performer,composer , and arranger, Polashek has lectured on the collegiate level about contemporary music performance practices. He has performed contemporary music throughout theU.S. Polashek is also a project editor for Macmillan/McGraw-Hill.Polashek holds a Bachelor of Arts in Jazz Studies from the
University of Wisconsin-Green Bay , where he studied saxophone withJohn Salerno . He has extensive experience performing professionally on the saxophone, flute, and clarinet in a multitude of genres.He is currently pursuing a Master's degree in music at the
City University of New York .Polashek's equipment consists of a
