Jockel Finck (1962 – c.
January 28 ,2006 ) was aphotographer working for theAssociated Press . His assignments included the fall of theBerlin Wall and the bloody disintegration ofYugoslavia .Jockel Finck started his career as a freelancer photojournalist in
Hanover . In 1986 he joinedAssociated Press inHamburg . In 1989 he changed to the Berlin office just as communism was crumbling inEast Germany . He documented the historical occurrences of the fall of the Berlin Wall and the following reunification of East andWest Germany .Finck was in action in the important disaster and conflict zones in the world, like
Sarajevo , the 1990/ 91Gulf War , the2003 invasion of Iraq and the 2004 earthquake inIran .He has died while vacationing with his family in the
Bavaria n town ofTraunstein when he suffered a heart attack.External links
