Lenore Marshall Poetry Prize

Established in 1975, the Lenore Marshall Poetry Prize is (currently) a $25,000 award recognizing the most outstanding book of poetry published in the United States in the previous year. The prize is endowed by a gift to the Academy of American Poets of from the New Hope Foundation.

The prize honors Lenore Marshall, poet, novelist, essayist, and nuclear activist.

The jury for 2006 is Carl Dennis, Tony Hoagland, and Carol Muske-Dukes.
