The Chiapas Bridge ("Puente Chiapas") was inaugurated in December 2003, and crosses the Nezahualcoyotl Lake part of the Malpaso Dam, in southern Mexico. It is located in Tecpatán Municipality in the State of Chiapas.
It has a length of 1,208 metres and is 10 metres wide, has two driving lanes, is part of the connection between Las Choapas (Veracruz) and Raudales-Ocozocoautla (Chiapas), and is now an important milestone of the federal highway Cosoleacaque-Tuxtla Gutiérrez.
The bridge shortens approximately 100 kilometres (62 mi) or 3.5 hours the travel time between Mexico City and Chiapas.
