Bak Middle School of the Arts is an art magnet middle school in Mangonia Park, just north of West Palm Beach, Florida. The school's campus was formerly that of Dreyfoos School of the Arts (DSOA), which enrolled students from the 7th to the 12th grades. DSOA was moved to its current campus in downtown West Palm before the 1997-'98 school year. The middle school, originally named the Middle School of the Arts (MSOA), was opened as an independent institution for the first time that same school year under principal Amelia Ostrovsky; the first auditions having taken place in July '97.

The school accepts students from all over Palm Beach County. Students may audition for two out of five art areas: communications, dance, music (consisting of band, keyboard, strings, and vocal arts), theater, and visual arts.

Mrs. Elizabeth Perlman, the school's former principal, was offered a promotion and left the school. The new principal is Mrs. Elizabeth Kennedy.

A recent generous donation from the Bak family, along with subsidies from the Palm Beach County School Board have funded a massive renovation of the campus. The students moved into the new campus on January 9, 2006 although the original slated date was to be August 1. As of 2006, the school consists of 120 faculty and staff, and 1372 students in grades 6-8.

Bak Middle School of the Arts has been an "A+" school for 7 years in a row as of 2007. The school has also achieved high honors throughout the state and nation for its artistic achievements.

The Bak MSOA website is msoa.com, and is currently under construction.
