Jhangochi

Jhangochi (جھنگوچی) is the oldest and most idiosyncretic dialect of the Punjabi language.Fact|date=February 2007 It is spoken throughout a widespread area, starting from Khanewal and Jhang at both ends of Ravi and Chenab to Gujranwala district. It than runs down to Bahawalnagar and Chishtian araes, on the banks of river Sutlej. This entire area has almost the same traditions, customs and culture. The Jhangochi dialect of Punjabi has several aspects that set it apart from other Punjabi variants. This area has a great culture and heritage, especially literary heritage, as it is credited with the creation of the famous epic romance stories of Heer Ranjha and Mirza Sahiba. It is spoken in the "Bar" areas of Punjab, i.e. areas whose names are often suffixed with 'Bar', for example Sandal Bar, Kirana Bar, Neeli Bar and Ganji Bar.

* Literal Meanings: The camels are bearing the mounds but the mounds are crying rather than camels.
* Is Spoken When: an unexpected person protests.

* " Janj parai ahmaq nachey majhoon lah ke vaila(n) ghattay "جنج پرائی تے احمق نچے، مجھوں لاہ لاہ ویلاں گھتے
* means: showing cheers in others celebrations.
* Literal meanings: A fool dances in others marrigae in such a manner that sells his trousers to throw money over them.
* Is Spoken When: a persons shows too much cheers in others celebrations.

* " Sadqe masi ghole masi roti bhanew gharoon ja khasi " صدقے ماسی، گھولے ماسی، روٹی بھنیئا گھروں جا کھاسی

* " maan na jammi, maasi jammi " ماء نہ جمی، ماسی جمی،
* means: The women' expression of too much affection to her sister's children.
* Literal meanings: Aunty gives birth to baby instead of real mother.
* Is Spoken When: Someone else shows extra love to someone's child.
