Rathmore ( _ga. An Ráth Mhór, meaning "the big Ringfort") is a village in Kerry, Ireland, lying immediately west of the border with Cork. It lies at the heart of the Sliabh Luachra area famed for its traditional Irish music and culture. Famous family names of the area include Reen, Murphy, O'Connor, McCarthy, McAuliffe, Moynihan, O'Keefe, O'Leary, Casey . Cadbury's chocolate crumb factory is also located in Rathmore. The local GAA club is Rathmore GAA.

Transport

The Mallow-Tralee railway line passes through the town. Rathmore railway station opened on 1 December 1854 and was closed for goods traffic on 3 November 1975.
