Caroline Dale is a British
cellist who has performed music for a number of movies, most notablyTruly, Madly, Deeply ,Hilary and Jackie , Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas and the 2005 film adaptation ofJane Austen 'sPride and Prejudice . She is currently Principal Cello of theEnglish Chamber Orchestra .Caroline has appeared as a soloist with a number of orchestras including the London Philharmonic and Royal Philharmonic orchestras.
She has performed with
Robert Plant and Jimmy Page during their 1994UnLEDed performance on the album . She plays in the 1994 video for 'Whatever' by Oasis.In 2002, Dale released "Such Sweet Thunder", an album of classical music with performances of
Handel 's Sarabande from the D-minor harpsichord suite, and the Largo from Vivaldi's E minor Cello Sonata.She played with
David Gilmour during his 2002 solo tour dates, and on his most recent album,On an Island . She appears on the "David Gilmour In Concert" DVD which was recorded at Robert Wyatt's Meltdown concert and the Royal Festival Hall concert, both in 2002.She performed with David Gray during the "Live in Slow Motion tour".
She plays the solo cello part in
Elegy for Dunkirk , written byDario Mariannelli for the filmAtonement .External links
