Please note: methodology may vary year on year. Chappel and Wakes Colne railway station is a railway station serving the villages of Wakes Colne and Chappel in Essex. The station itself is located in Wakes Colne. It has one platform station on the Marks Tey/Sudbury branch line. The station is also home to the East Anglian Railway Museum which has the former up platform, a short running line and buildings on the east side of the line. Just to the south of the station the line runs over a notable viaduct.
The station is unstaffed and has no ticketing facilities. The platform buildings, on the station's west side, are restored to LNER style, but are part of the East Anglia Railway Museum, and entered from ground-floor level.
