Todd Cochrane (born June, 1964) is a
technology writer andcommentator .In 1988, Cochrane started a
bulletin board system . In 1995, he moved his BBS to the Internet. It served as both a gateway (mini ISP) to the Internet for his local community and served more than 20,000 users worldwide. In 1998, the dial-up portion of the BBS was discontinued but still continued as an Internet-only location.In 2002, Cochrane started Geek News Central, a technology-focused
weblog andpodcast . In May 2005, Cochrane's first book, entitled , was published. In June 2005, founded the Annual' "People's Choice Podcast Awards". He is also the Founder of Podcast Connect Inc. and the CEO ofRawVoice , and is a recently retiredSenior Chief Petty Officer of theUnited States Navy .References
