Edward Piper (1938–1990) was an English painter.
Edward Blake Christmas Piper was the eldest son of the artist John Piper and his wife Myfanwy. He studied under
Howard Hodgkin at theBath Academy of Art inCorsham and later at theSlade School inLondon .He produced photographs for the
Shell County Guides and also undertook graphic design commissions to make a living. However, his real passion was figurative art and painting female nudes in particular. Later he painted landscapes, inCorsica ,France ,Italy andSpain .A number of his
lithograph s andscreenprint s are to be found in theTate Gallery collection.Edward Piper's son
Luke Piper is also an artist.Books
