The Howard Stern Show games and bits

The Howard Stern Show has frequent games and bits in which phone callers, guests, or staff can participate. Winning a game usually gives a cash prize or admission to a Stern-related party or event, while losing usually involves nudity or humiliation.

Frequent Show Games and Bits

Current

*Robin's News - daily ending of the show heralded with "What's in the news, Robin?". Robin reads the news and they discuss or make fun of it; Robin either joins in the discussion or attempts to plod along with the news. Howard usually asks, "Anything else Robin?", after every news story once he becomes noticeably tired and bored. She typically ends the segment by saying "And that's what's happening."
*The Gossip Game - with Mike Walker from the National Enquirer; Mike reads four absurd celebrity stories and staff (and sometimes callers) guess which is the fake story. Artie thinks the game is gay and sometimes will not participate.
*Wheel of Sex - like Wheel of Fortune, except the wheel selects a sexual act for a guest to perform.
*The Stupid Bowl - contestants perform embarrassing or disgusting acts for prizes.
*The Homeless Game - resurrected on May 26, 2006 - many variants, often played with call-in guests. The contestant will bet on whether or not a homeless person, stripper, or mentally retarded person would be able to answer common knowledge questions. A stripper was once asked what a pickle was made from - to which she responded that "a pickle is marinated from a grape".
*Stump The Booey - song recognition contest against Gary; requires either a female contestant or a male contestant who brings a female agreeing to strip naked in the event of a loss. On the satellite show, the female must ride the Sybian should she/her counterpart lose. Gary usually wins. The music is primarily from the 1980s, with a large concentration of one hit wonders.
*Stump The Perv - guests compete against Richard Christy in this pornographic movies trivia contest.
*The Tickle Chair - female guests are strapped to a chair and tickled, though sessions often also include groping.
*Win Fred's Money - timed trivia contest; losing to Fred involves nudity. Prize is usually $10,000. Fred usually wins, but cannot collect the money.
*Evil Dave Letterman - a dead on David Letterman voice impersonator who occasionally sits in the studio and makes off-color comments and non sequiturs during the show.
*The Sybian Ride - The Sybian is a vibrating device that is used primarily for female stimulation and masturbation. Female guests are often invited and encouraged to sit on this machine in hopes that they will achieve orgasm on the air. The Sybian was given to Howard as a birthday gift by the staff shortly after his first show on Sirius in January 2006. Sybian riders include Jenna Jameson, Carmen Electra, Savanna Samson, Jenny McCarthy, Buck Angel (a pre-op female-to-male transsexual), Blue Iris (a 65 year old porn star), and Rappin' Granny (an 84 year old grandmother who received her first orgasm ever on the Sybian).
*Mexican Delivery Guy Game - played with Savanna Samson, Angelique Morgan, and Gina Lynn; the staff order delivery Mexican food and once the delivery man arrives, they offer him either a great tip (money) or sexual favors.
*Phony Phone Calls - calling public access television shows, or calling random recipients who are frequently driven to yelling at cut-together recordings of peoples' voices. Stern has quipped on the air that he has a full-time staff (Sal and Richard) dedicated to telephone harassment.
*The Top Five - Howard and crowd discuss the top five songs. They usually play bits of parody songs between real songs, then make fun of the real songs.
*The Stupid Bowl 3: The Boys vs. The Girls is a Howard TV production that first aired during half time during Super Bowl XLI. The game placed Howard Stern Show staffers Sal the Stockbroker, Richard Christy, JD Harmeyer and Jason Kaplan as well as Wack Packer Siobhan Meow against 5 drag queens in a game of Flag Football. Will Murray, Jon Hein and wack packer Crackhead Bob provided color commentary. Penthouse Pets were also on hand, to serve as cheerleaders for both sides. Each team had 4 downs to make it to half field. If they reached that point they were rewarded an additional 4 more downs to score a touchdown, which was worth one point.
*Porn Star Feud - Porn Stars both young and old compete in a Family Feud style game. Naturally all questions deal with sex or female body parts.

Discontinued

*Who Wants to be a Turkish Millionaire? - trivia contest similar to Who Wants To Be A Millionaire; contestants are required to answer common knowledge questions for a million Turkish Lira. Value of the prize depends on current exchange rates but is somewhat less than $1 in United States currency. During the bit's run, Howard Stern's CBS show advised the viewer that a million Turkish Lira was equivalent to $1.61. Often, contestants were tricked into thinking that a million Turkish Lira was not quite a million dollars, but still a large sum of money.
*Guess Who's The Jew - There are several variations of this game. One includes having to guess from a list of several celebrities which one is a Jew. Another includes bringing several people into the studio and guessing which one is a Jew, with contestants typically judging based on appearance, and answers to questions both the contestant and on-air personalities ask.
*Lesbian Dial-a-Date - This game involves finding a date for a woman looking for a homosexual encounter by having other women call in and be evaluated.
*Daniel Carver's KKK Movie Review - show staffers would assign several films; Carver would watch them and rate them on a scale of burning crosses.
*The FM-ies (also incorrectly known as the F-emmies) - an on-air awards ceremony often spread over several weeks, commemorating the best Stern bits of the year. During his days on WNBC in the early 1980s, the bit was known as the AM-ies.
*God With The Weather - During this bit, which mostly aired on DC101 during the early 1980s, "God" would call in and provide weather forecasts and discuss other issues. Stern would pre-tape God's comments and play them back, using his thumb to slow the playback on a reel-to-reel (as described by Gary on the now-canceled Friday Show). The genesis was probably Stern's indignation at having to read weather forecasts. The broadcast often included statements that were extremely shocking and blasphemous for the early 1980s. This bit briefly appeared in Private Parts. Old forecasts were occasionally played on The Friday Show.
*Irene With The Weather - Irene the Leather-Weather Lady was a W4 Detroit fixture as a dominatrix who would insult Stern and his show while reading weather forecasts. As with God With The Weather, this was probably a form of protest at Stern having to include weather forecasts in his show.
*Stuck on You - Five contestants would join the competition where they would answer various trivia questions. The winner would then have a chance to win $20,000 by being handcuffed to a member of the Wack Pack for five days. If the contestant remained in the competition after five days, they would win the grand prize. This bit was only done twice in response to the film Stuck on You.

Howard Stern Revelations Game

The Howard Stern Revelations Game was a game wherein eleven members of the show, including Stern, revealed secrets about themselves to Will Murray that were later announced on the air after the show's move to Sirius in January 2006.
