Stephen Barber (born 1974) is a British political scientist /
political economist , and author based atLondon Metropolitan University 'sGlobal Policy Institute where he is a Senior Research Fellow and Head of theCity of London andPolitical Economy programme. He has also worked in theEuropean Research Forum . He is a specialist in Britishparty politics ,political economy and having worked in the City of London, theglobalisation offinancial markets . He holds a BA ingovernment , a MA incontemporary history and a PhD inpolitical science , awarded by several London universities. He is aFellow of theRoyal Historical Society and Member of theSecurities & Investment Institute . Following theNorthern Rock and banking credit crisis in 2008, he outlined his concept of a regulatory cycle of economic behaviour.Publications
