Coromandel railway station is a railway station on the Belair railway line, which was opened in 1883. The station, which was previously known as Brighton Parade, is located in the Adelaide southern foothills suburb of Blackwood. It is 17.2km by railway from the Adelaide Railway Station and 251 metres above sea level. It is not known exactly when the station opened; the platforms look like they were (re-)built in the 1940s/50s, and renovated in the 1990s, and again in the 2000s.

The station now consists of a single platform with a covered shelter which serves trains going in both directions. Until 1995, when the Adelaide - Melbourne main line was converted to standard gauge, there were two platforms and two broad gauge tracks. Standard gauge trains now run through, without stopping at, the disused southern (former up) platform.

There are no staff: intending passengers need to buy tickets from vending machines on trains or from authorised vendors such as newsagents.

The train service comprises two trains an hour in each direction during the day, with additional services during peak hours, and one train an hour at night, weekends and public holidays.

A limited amount of free car parking is provided, including one space reserved for disabled parking.

Under the 'Adopt a Station' program run by TransAdelaide the station is adopted by the Blackwood Neighbourhood Watch group, who have assumed responsibility for the removal of graffiti, assisting with the landscaping of the station grounds and reporting vandalism incidents.
