It is located along the shores of Kootenay Lake and adjacent to Highway 3A.
The mall is anchored by Wal-Mart and Save-On-Foods, and junior anchors include Shoppers Drug Mart and Marks Work Warehouse. There are approximately 25 other retailers, including Ardene, Chatters Salon, Coles, Northern Reflections, Nutrition House, Please Mum, Telus Mobility and Warehouse One Jeans.
There is also a newly relocated food court area which contains A&W and Edo Japan, KFC and Quiznos Subs.
The shopping centre underwent a major interior and exterior renovation which was completed in 2009.
"Chahko Mika" is a Chinook Jargon phrase meaning literally "come you", i.e. "y'all come!".
