Robert Michael Radford AM (1943 –

Radford represented
New South Wales inbaseball . He also represented theSydney Church of England Grammar School first XI in cricket.Administrative career
In 1970 Radford joined the
New South Wales Cricket Association as Assistant Secretary. He was at the same time Assistant Secretary of the Australian Cricket Board of Control. In 1976 he became Secretary (an executive position) of the NSWCA. He served in this role for almost twenty years. In 1993 Radford was appointed chair of the Bradman Foundation, a role he served in until 1997.He died just months after his 60th birthday.
Greg Chappell , who is aVegan , had a bet with him that if Radford lasted until 60, Chappell would eat asteak . Chappell also held the same bet withDoug Walters , who turned 60 in 2005.Radford was a life member of the NSWCA, the Bradman Foundation and the
Marylebone Cricket Club . A scholarship for young cricket administrators awarded by the Bradman Foundation is named in his honour.External links
