The province has a population of 375,822 as of the

The province occupies a total land area of 4,470.75 sq. km. It is bounded on the north by

* Currently, there are few commercial flights to the province specially to Borongan City that are available, notably the
South East Asian Airlines and Philippine Airlines coming from manila twice weekly. Borongan Airport is located on Brgy. Point Mary, north of the city.SEA
* The are a number of ports in eastern samar that caters mostly minor sea vessels in the area.
LAND
* Bus transit is the dominant public land transport to the province from
Manila passing through the Pan-Philippine Highway (Maharlika Highway) and through western samar. There are also chartered vans orjeepneys fromTacloban City going to the different municipalities of the province. The public mode of transit in the province are motor tricycles, multicabs and pedicabs.Economy
