Peter Rodney Llewellyn

Peter Rodney Llewellyn (born November 1, 1947) is an international businessman who is best-known for having nearly persuaded the Russian Space Agency into permitting him to fly on the Space Station Mir in 1999. He had reportedly offered to pay $100 million for the privilege. When he was subsequently ousted from the project he claimed there had been a mistake. Numerous allegations of fraud noted for their elaborate nature have been made against Llewellyn in several jurisdictions (including the United States, United Kingdom, Hong Kong, Singapore, Vietnam and Australia). He was described by the Pittsburgh police who arrested him in 1996 as being a “conman of the first order”. Those charges were dropped when Llewellyn paid restitution.

Llewellyn was born in Walthamstow, England. He was married (of many) to Ohio politician Kara Anastasio. They divorced in March 2003. In 2002, Llewellyn participated in founding a company known as the [http://www.anasellgroup.com Anasell Group] .
