As of late the boys tennis teams and football teams have been successful along with unbelievable success in marching band competitions, now led by Paul Murr. As always they have competitve soccer teams. Their glory days in track and field were during the 1980s. However, in the past 6 years or so the track and field teams have captured a few section titles and have sent competitors to thePenn Relays , District and State Track Meets bringing home some great accolades.Mission
Lancaster Catholic High School affirms that our primary purpose is to offer a superior education to all our students in the context of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, in keeping with the traditions and teachings of the Roman Catholic Church. We endeavor to develop the whole person spiritually, intellectually and socially, ultimately leading to the larger goals of Christianity - truth, charity, justice, freedom, peace and salvation.
Philosophy
As a Catholic co-educational diocesan secondary school, Lancaster Catholic High School offers a quality education which helps students integrate their faith with the knowledge they acquire and the skills they develop, so they may serve the community as responsible adults. Lancaster Catholic is open to all students who are capable of maintaining and willing to adhere to the academic standards and discipline policies of the school. We strive to make a Lancaster Catholic education accessible to all who support its endeavors.
We Believe
That a supportive and challenging climate affirms the dignity of all persons within the school community. That we are an institution guided by Catholic teachings and traditions.
That it is vital to provide a meaningful and diverse course of studies adaptable to the needs of an ever-changing world.
That a balanced program of academics, activities, community service and spiritual life nurtures the development of student ability and potential.
That students, guided by constructive discipline, are accountable in the educational process and are responsible for their actions.
That each student has a moral and civic responsibility to contribute to society. That education is the shared responsibility of student, school, family, church and community. That members of the professional staff are motivated, lifelong learners who strive to promote Catholic values.
That the school facilities should be accessible to all students.
That a safe, stable environment is essential to learning.
Alumni
New Policy
High School Adopts New Visitation Policy for Alumni Lancaster Catholic is blessed that so many former students choose to return to their alma mater to visit with faculty and staff. It is an indication of the wonderful bonds that develop within these walls, and it is our hope that all alumni will feel welcome to return as often as possible. In an effort to make our school more accessible for alumni wishing to visit, Catholic High has established a new policy. All graduates will be directed to the Alumni Office, where staff members in that department will coordinate the visit.
