The Central Ohio Lions are an American football team based out of Washington Courthouse, Ohio. They have a long and storied history in what is termed "Semi-Pro Football." The team was founded by the late Vernon Smith and achieved prominence under Head Coach Terry Feick and Asst. Head Coach Mark Brobeck. The team achieved the ultimate goal in 2003, winning the Minor League Football News "AA" National Championship. The team returned to the title game in 2004 and then again in 2006, losing both outings. The team has taken a leave of absence during the 2007 season, with plans of a return not yet decided.
