Paralimni . The stadium holds 5,800 people.Since August 2008 the Club has become a holder of ISO 9001 certificate. This is a great honour for "Enosis" since it's the very first Club in Cyprus and one of the few in the world who has managed to earn this important certification.
History
Enosis Neon Paralimniou in Greek or “Enosis” Athletic Union of Paralimni in English was founded in April 1944 following the merge of two Paralimni clubs, Heracles and People’s Love.
The Club’s emblem is the
Parthenon with a trumpeter and the year 1936, birth year of the club Heracles. The only reason why founders have decided to adopt the year 1936 as the new Club’s birth year instead of the year 1944 has purely to do with Heracles official papers. On those, it was clear that whenever the club’s members decide to cease its operations all of its assets (movable and immovable property) go straight to the Church. In view of that and in order to avoid any legal implications the newly born club of “Enosis” reckoned by the authorities as a continuation of the club Heracles ofParalimni absorbing the other Club People’s Love. The first football match was played in Paralimni in the first half of the year 1945, some weeks before the end of WW2 against a German prisoners of war team. No further details found. The first recorded match was played in Paralimni on the 16th of September 1945 against the mixed team of Anorthosis and EHAN of Famagusta. Final result 5-4 for the Famagusta Team.
Till early 60s “Enosis” took part only to local competitions since
Cyprus Football Association had repeatedly denied its participation in its competitions stating that only Clubs based in Towns can participate. CFA’s denial was in fact and the reason why “Enosis” joined E.A.P.O. the Association of Clubs based in villages. In the year 1965 CFA changed its rules and “Enosis” finally managed to join and participate to second division’s championship. “Enosis” from the very beginning tried to win its promotion to First Division. After four attempts it managed to finish first in the football season of 1968/69. Its first season in the Big League was 1969/70. Since then “Enosis” has taken part to all 39 competitions. It’s one of the five Clubs which they’ve never demoted in Second Division.Current squad
