"Hello Operator" is a 7" single by garage rock band The White Stripes, from their album "De Stijl" on Sympathy for the Record Industry. It was released in May of 2000 (see 2000 in music). John Peel listed it as his single of the week even though it was not released in the UK. The single also includes The White Stripes' off-kilter cover of Dolly Parton's "Jolene."
