genus of primitive herbivoroussauropod dinosaur which lived in theEarly Jurassic Period of China. It was a large-bellied herbivore characterized by a long neck. "Zizhongosaurus" was named afterZizhong County ,Sichuan Province, China, by Dong, Zhou and Zhang, in 1983. Thetype species is "Z. chuanchengensis".
