Phillip Allsopp

Phillip Brian Allsopp is a video game designer. He is best known for numerous computer games he wrote in the 1980s and early 1990s for many different formats. He is often credited as Sarge or Sarge PBA, and his games include Hyperbowl, Rasterscan, and Zub for the Commodore 64. He also developed Road Wars and Mayday Squad for the Atari ST and the PC games F-16 Aggressor, Wings of Destiny, and Free Flight. Allsopp was the joint founder of Digital Image Design, who created F-29 Retailiator, Epic and many other titles. Allsopp was also involved in 36 other computer games in a developmental role on platforms ranging from the BBC Micro to the TMS 34020. Allsopp currently works on developing highly scalable e-commerce systems for the internet including the systems used for the Radiohead In Rainbows project.
