Gomal University is located in Dera Ismail Khan in the North-West Frontier Province of Pakistan. Founder Prime Minister Mr. Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto is the founder of the Gomal University D.I.Khan and he was inaugurated the Gomal University foundation stone on 1st May, 1974 to put forward his vision of highly educated Pakistan to meets the modern world challenges in every aspect of life.

1st Vice Chancellor Nawab Allah Nawaz Khan was the Founder Vice-Chancellor and the donor of the University Land, he donated 11000 Kanal Land to the establishment of the University.

It has four faculties, these are:
