Velocity SE

Velocity SE

The Velocity SE is the entry level canard pusher aircraft from Velocity Aircraft. The four seat, rear engine aircraft is typically powered by a Lycoming IO-320 (160 hp) or a Lycoming IO-360 (200 hp) engine. As with other canard aircraft, the Velocity is a sleek, efficient personal aircraft with a 930 nautical mile range on a 60 gallon fuel load at 65% power and a 75% power cruising speed of 155 ktas. This home-built composite aircraft can be built as a standard "slow build" kit or by purchasing "fast build" options that supply many major pre-fabricated assemblies.

The Velocity SE was selected by XCOR Aerospace to be the basis of the new Rocket Racer, a LOX-kerosene rocket powered aircraft to be competition raced in the Rocket Racing League.
