Noreen Isabel Young, CM (born September 11, 1952) is a Canadian producer and puppeteer, and is still actively involved in the puppeteering business through her corporation, Noreen Young Productions.[1]
Raised in Almonte, Ontario, Young created, produced, and starred as Gloria Gopher on the hit family television-series Under the Umbrella Tree, which aired both in the United States (on the Disney Channel) and Canada (on the CBC and YTV).[2]
She was also the puppeteer for a character on Sesame Park, the Canadian version of Sesame Street.[3]
Young also starred in the second Care Bears television special, 1984's The Care Bears Battle the Freeze Machine.
She was made a Member of the Order of Canada in 2005.[4]
