Gaijin Studios is a group of American comic book artists formed in Atlanta, Georgia. It is one of the longest-running collectives of freelance comic book artists in the United States, having been in continuous operation since 1991. It has long been considered by many in the comics industry to be an influential training ground for some of the more prominent creators of the 1990's and 2000's, perhaps most notably Brian Stelfreeze (', "Matador"), Adam Hughes ("Wonder Woman", "Tomb Raider"), Cully Hamner ("Blue Beetle", ', "Red"), Jason Pearson ("Legion of Super-Heroes", "Body Bags"), Dave Johnson (', "100 Bullets"), Tony Harris ("Starman", "Ex Machina"), Karl Story ("Aliens vs. Predator", "Batman"), and Georges Jeanty ("Gambit", "Buffy the Vampire Slayer Season Eight"). Its current roster consists of Stelfreeze, Hamner, and Story, along with its newest members, Tony Shasteen, artist of ', and Doug Wagner, writer of "The Ride", both of whom joined in 2007. Multiple Eisner-Award-winning colorist Laura Martin was anounced as a new member at Heroes Con in June 2008.

In 2001, Gaijin Studios celebrated its 10th Anniversary with the "Wildstorm Summer Special". This book featured almost all Gaijin members, past and present, with the notable exceptions of Johnson and Mays, who both declined to participate. It also featured work by longtime friends of the studio, such as "Tom Strong" co-creator Chris Sprouse and the late "Fantastic Four" and "Spider-Man" artist Mike Wieringo. The stories included were written by Brian Azzarello ("100 Bullets"), Warren Ellis ("Planetary"), and Paul Jenkins ("Origin").
