Babbs Island

Babbs Island is an island in Hancock County, West Virginia on the Ohio River between East Liverpool, Ohio and Chester, West Virginia. It takes its name from the Babbs family of Columbiana County, Ohio which once owned the island from 1804 to 1820. The pylons of the U.S. Route 30 bridge between East Liverpool and Chester completed in 1978 lie on Babbs Island's southwestern flank.
