Avdella ( _el. Αβδέλλα; Aromanian Avdhela) is a settlement in
Grevena Prefecture ,Greece . It is a seasonal Vlach village in thePindus mountains , at 1300-1450 metres altitude. Its summer population is about 3000, but in the winter there are only a few watchmen. The 2001 census gives its population as 448.
