Jarawara (also Jaruara, Jaruára, Yarawara) is a dialect of Madi, an Arauan language spoken in Amazonas, Brazil. Jarawara is spoken by approximately 155 people.

Consonants

The glottal stop IPA| [ʔ] has a limited distribution.

The liquid IPA|/r/ may be realized as a trill IPA| [r] , flap IPA| [ɾ] , or lateral IPA| [l] . The palatal stop IPA|/ɟ/ may be realized as a semivowel IPA| [j] .

The glottal fricative IPA|/h̃/ is nasalized. See rhinoglottophilia.
