Tekkoshocon is an anime convention in the Pittsburgh Metro Area. Tekkoshocon is run by the non-profit organization Tekkoshocon, Inc. The convention's name is a blend of the Japanese word "tekkosho", meaning steel mill, and "convention".

Programming

The convention typically offers video rooms, anime music video contest, masquerade / cosplay contest, hall cosplay, panels on a various of related topics, workshops, Dealers' Room, Art Show, Artists' Alley, dance, model contest, concerts, anime game shows, and video gaming. In 2005, a scale modeling contest was first introduced. The following year saw Tekkoshocon's first charitable events.
