Tongwynlais is a
village in the Taff Valley inSouth Wales . It is situated 5mile s north ofCardiff city centre and 7 miles south ofPontypridd . It has been part of the city of Cardiff since 1974 when it expanded its boundaries to also includeSt Fagans andSt Mellons .] It was rebuilt and transformed in the late 1870s into a fantasy castle by William Burges for the 3rd Marquess of Bute.Places of worship
