Hotel Lights is an American indie band founded by songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Darren Jessee former drummer for Ben Folds Five.

History

Hotel Lights recorded their self-titled debut in 2004 at Sound of Music studios in Richmond with guitarist and producer Alan Weatherhead of Sparklehorse. Adam Schlesinger of Fountains of Wayne lent his talents in arrangements. A six-song EP titled "Goodnightgoodmorning" was released in 2006. A new Hotel Lights album titled "Firecracker People" was released August 19th 2008 on Bar/None Records.

TV & Film

Hotel Lights songs have been used in the Television shows "Grey's Anatomy" and "One Tree Hill".The song "Miles Behind Me" is in the movie "Baby Mama" featuring Tina Fey and Amy Poehler.
