Alcobendas is a city located in the
Community of Madrid (Spain ). It is located roughly 13 km north ofMadrid and 7 km from theBarajas international airport of Madrid. It includes a central urban zone, a recently built district known as Valdelasfuentes, La Moraleja and El Soto de la Moraleja residential zones, the Valdelatas natural reserve and a light industrial zone. A huge high-tech firm area known as Valdelacasa is being built. Home for the Cosmocaixa sciences museum and the Diversia entertainment center, it is also a location of a basketball museum organized byPedro Ferrándiz Foundation which is a home toFIBA Hall of Fame .Transport in Alcobendas
Alcobendas in is the B1 zone for Madrid's Transports.
Both Alcobendas and its neighbour city,San Sebastián de los Reyes are communicated with Madrid via buses operated by the 'Interbús' bus company. There are currently eight bus lines that go to and from different districts of Alcobendas toPlaza de Castilla (the bus line central hub for the northern area of Madrid). Alcobendas also has eight bus lines that communicate the different zones of Alcobendas between themselves.

Alcobendas presently has four Metro stations (La Granja, La Moraleja, Marqués de la Valdavia and Manuel de Falla) which all belong to the line 10 of the

Alobendas is easily reached by car as well. There are a number of motorways going round Alcobendas and through it. Airport access is perfect with the recently built motorway known as
