12 November 1972 ,Sheffield ,England ) is an English popsinger , who rose to fame towards the latter part of the 1990s.Career
Having moved to live in
Italy in the late 1980s, she was talent scouted, and was often used as thelead singer on a series ofEuropop dance music singles, issued under various aliases. These included Charme, Anne, Ally & Jo, DJ Space'C, A Kay BJ, Alex, Wienna and TH Express. Her first solo single, under her own name, more or less, was "2 Times", first released in 1998. It was a Top 10 hit inAustria ,France ,Germany ,Italy ,Netherlands , andNorway , as well as inAustralia andNew Zealand . It also hit Number 2 inBelgium , the UK, and reached Number one inDenmark . In theUnited States , "2 Times" can also be heard in the 2001 featurefilm , "Head Over Heels" as the movie'stheme song .Her second single, "Voices", fared considerably less well, although it was a Top 10 hit in the
Czech Republic ,Denmark , andSpain . Since which despite releasing other material, she seemingly disappeared from the popular end of themusic making scene. In 2007, saw the return of Ann Lee with a newalbum "So Alive" with a single "Catches Your Love". So far the releases have only been available as a digitaldownload .She recently made an appearance on the
BBC TV show "Never Mind the Buzzcocks ", airing on 31 January 2008.Discography
