Future

Line B will be extended a few kilometers Southwards from "Stade-de-Gerland" to Oullins. A tunnel will have to be built under the Rhône River. This extension is due to open in 2013.

In the long term, the line should be automatized and equipped with rolling stock similar to the one of the Line 14 in Paris.
