Petir LRT station (BP7) is a Light Rapid Transit station on the Bukit Panjang LRT Line in Singapore. It was opened in November 1999. It is operated by SMRT.

However, the LRT station is nowhere near the future Petir MRT Station, the working name for the last station along Downtown Line Stage 2, [ cite news | title = Downtown Line 2 Station Sites NamedBukit Timah residents get faster access to City and Marina Bay area | publisher = Land Transport Authority | date = 2008-07-15 | url = http://app.lta.gov.sg/corp_press_content.asp?start=1969 ] which is in fact located nearer to Bukit Panjang LRT Station.

Etymology

This station is located along Petir Road. Petir means lightning in Malay.
