"Harry van der Made" was 'Kabinetschef van de Commissaris van de Konigin' (the right hand of the Queen's Commissioner, Charles van Rooy), in the Dutch province of Limburg from 1966 to 1974. He was married to Carla Schunck.

A street in Amsterdam is named "van der Madeweg" and a metro station is in turn named after that street.
