The A565 is a road in
England that runs fromBootle inMerseyside toTarleton inLancashire .It starts off on Old Hall St. Bootle near
Princes Dock crossing a number of traffic lights and running parallel with 'Regent Road' (which is used in the film 51st State). It then passesSeaforth Dock , scene of the 1990sLiverpool Dockers' Strike , at theSeaforth flyover where it meets the A5036. It then heads north throughCrosby , and on through theLiverpool suburb of Thornton. It then heads towardsFormby passingInce Blundell on the way, passing to the East of Formby proper. Once out of Formby, the road passesRAF Woodvale before arriving in Woodvale itself, going very close to the route of theTrans Pennine Trail . The A565 continues north throughAinsdale intoSouthport past theRoyal Birkdale Golf Club .Once it reaches Southport it runs through as Lord Street, and then travels to the south of Banks. It passes by
Mere Brow andHolmes , before going byTarleton , where it joins the Preston to Liverpool A59 at traffic lights.
