As a
session musician , Anna has been hired by many musicians, includingNitin Sawhney ,LeAnn Rimes ,George Michael and Sean "P Diddy" Combs. She has appeared on UK TV shows, includingTop of the Pops ,MTV , andThe Michael Parkinson Show , as well as music festivals, including theGlastonbury Festival , and The Big Chill. Anna also features in the theme tune for theTurner Prize 2005 exhibition.Anna is also a guest star in this year's "Jethro Tull World Tour".
Her real Name is Anna McElligott.
Trans-Siberian Orchestra
For the last three years, Anna has also been the String Director and Solo Violinist for the
Trans-Siberian Orchestra . Anna first joined the TSO West Coast Band in 2004. She was invited back for 2006, making her the first String Director and Soloist to return for a third year running, and has returned in 2007 as part of the (west) band. As part of the TSO, Anna tours for three months every Christmas through 26 states around West and Central USA. She performs nearly 70 dates in arenas to audiences of up to 15,000 people. Venues have included the Phoenix Arena, American Airline Center in Dallas, the Pepsi Center in Denver, and the Orleans Arena in Las Vegasolo career
Anna has recently finished her debut solo rock violin albumette 'Gypsy', co-written with TSO rock guitarist,
Angus Clark , and mixed and recorded by Nick Wollage. It also features a track written withChristian Henson , a TV and film composer and producer who has composed and produced pieces for numerous film soundtracks, including Severance (on which Anna featured as violinist).This year Anna is the featured guest soloist for Jethro Tull, touring the UK. Then she plays withOi Va Voi before she returns for the 2007 TSO tour.Anna is currently performing with the band Oi Va Voi [http://www.oi-va-voi.com] , on their sell-out European tour.
