"Gettu betur" (English: "Better guess") is a top-rated annual Icelandic quiz show, broadcast by Sjónvarpið. The contestants are three in each team, students from Iceland's gymnasiums. There are five rounds of knock-out, the first two are broadcast on radio and then the quarterfinals, semi-finals and finals on television. Around 30 schools participate every year.

"Gettu betur" was first held in 1986. Menntaskólinn í Reykjavík has won the contest 14 times overall, first in 1988 and then 11 times in a row, from 1993-2003, both years included and again in 2007 and 2008. The only other school to win more than once is Menntaskólinn á Akureyri. Six other schools have won the contest.
